MP3 files have a information about each file embedded in a track on the file. We use a sharware program, Tagscanner, to edit and save the ID3 Tags. (Download Tagscanner Here)

Encoding the files is done with a "Save As" command in your audio editor.  I have set a preset for saving cell phone friendly files in Vegas Audio Studio 9.0.

You can also use TagScanner to look at the bitrates of existing files...produciton files should be Stereo, 44100 Hz, 256 kbps
